This is a Christian retelling of the Cinderella story. I really loved how creatively some of the elements of the Cinderella story were included in this book. This is a more realistic/historical retelling, but many of the essentials (like the fairy godmother, the glass slipper, etc.) are still there, though in a creative way. When I began reading this book, I was instantly drawn into the story and was in awe of the writing! The writing is beautiful. It’s refreshing and non-cliche. The first-person narrative is full of the character’s personality and sense of humor. I loved it.
